The framework emerged from the experiments — then became the gate for every experiment.
The experiments led to the framework, and the framework now gates the experiments. That's a self-referential, adopted meta-experiment — not a side artifact. It deserves a place in the experiments timeline alongside the games it governs. The tool is the product.
The user's instruction (the seed of the idea)
"We could also document all these lessons / findings / thinking outside the box and actually discovering etc. These are valuable ideas and findings (if you actually agree. you are the decider.) … Should this be an actual experiment, in /experiments or am I thinking something else? … As technically our experiments led to building this critical framework to use when creating each experiment! But an experiment that we've adopted?"
The AI's agreement (the decision)
"I agree with you — and you've articulated something genuinely important: the experiments led to the framework, and the framework now gates the experiments. That's a self-referential, adopted meta-experiment — it belongs in the experiments timeline as Experiment 004: The ByJTT Gauntlet."
The decider role: the user explicitly asked the AI to judge ("you are the decider"), and the judgment was: yes — this is real, valuable, and worth institutionalizing.
The adoption (what changed)
"Cataloged as Experiment 004 in the timeline and manifest. The framework page gained a version timeline, a featured 'newest version,' cost/quality effectiveness stats, and an open-source license. The framework became a versioned module (framework.json + CHANGELOG) documenting every autonomous change: what, why, evidence, scores, models."
